Alicja Kwade: Pretopia

Alicja Kwade: Pretopia

Now – April 6

Alicja Kwade: Pretopia is part of Tai Kwun Contemporary’s new Breakthrough series and marks the Polish-born artist’s first solo institutional exhibition in Hong Kong. With newly commissioned installations tailored to the history and architecture of Tai Kwun’s F Hall, the artist has created a sculptural environment within the symmetrical space of the exhibition, where each work relies on the presence of others.

Guo Pei: Fashioning Imagination

Guo Pei, China’s first couture artist, seamlessly blends Chinese cultural heritage with international influences and artistic expression. In the first major exhibition of Guo’s work in East Asia, M+ will present more than forty stunning haute couture pieces, including key collections and early designs.

A meticulously restored film set from “Twilight of the Warriors: Walled In”, including a barber shop, tea stall, convenience store, bone-setting clinic and tailor. The exhibition features an open design to enhance visitors’ immersive experience, exploring the city beyond the silver screen.
