Envisioning Web3 and Virtual Assets - a Dialogue with Hong Kong Regulators

Much is happening in the Web3 and virtual assets space in Hong Kong. Since the issuance of a Policy Statement on Virtual Assets (VA) Development in Hong Kong, a comprehensive licensing regime for VA trading platforms has been introduced, a public consultation on stablecoin regulation is underway, and a high-level Task Force has been set up to guide the Web3 and VA development. What opportunities are offered in Hong Kong and how should the industry navigate? This webinar will bring together a panel of experts with a policy and regulatory focus on Web3 and VA. The discussion will focus on:

  • Policy direction of Web3 and VA development in Hong Kong;
  • The new licensing regime for centralised virtual assets trading platforms; and
  • The proposed regulatory regime for stablecoin
  • Q&A session available
