Toolbox Percussion Performance: A Sonic Journey

Welcoming members of the Hong Kong-based Toolbox Percussion as well as students from The Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK), who were in the US for a multi-city cultural exchange tour, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco (HKETO San Francisco) collaborated with the Asian Art Museum to host a reception prior to the “Toolbox Percussion: A Sonic Journey” performance on June 13 in San Francisco, California. Like the immersive, multi-sensory performance, the reception was well attended by a full house of guests who enjoyed the conversations with the musicians and students.

The group also paid a visit to the HKETO San Francisco as part of their exchange program on June 10. Ms Jacko Tsang, the Director the HKETO San Francisco, shared the office’s missions and recent work, while Mr Louis Siu of Toolbox Percussion, as well as Dr Chi-hin Leung and Dr Philbert Li of EdUHK, shared information about their latest projects and innovations in art tech and education.
