Hong Kong Culture Day

Hong Kong Culture Day, hosted by the San Francisco Public Library in partnership with the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco (HKETO San Francisco), was held at the Main Library in San Francisco, California on May 19.

The first-time partnership brought the public a series of Hong Kong-themed activities, including live performances of Hong Kong pop music, Cantonese learning and Hong Kong snacks and beverage tasting.

At the event, the Deputy Director of the HKETO San Francisco, Miss Iris Wong, made an opening speech about the commitment of Hong Kong in becoming an East-meets-West center for international cultural exchange. A video about Hong Kong festivals and traditional craftsmanship from Intangible Cultural Heritage Office was also displayed.
