Hong Kong Pop 60+

Hong Kong’s unique geographical location and historical background made it a renowned international metropolis, where East meets West and diversity thrives.  The story of Hong Kong’s popular culture began with the boundless creativity sparked by the post-war population growth and economic boom.  It flourished in the fertile soil of frequent cultural exchanges with other regions and presence of talented and adventurous artists.

A new exhibition – Hong Kong Pop 60+  - at the Hong Kong Heritage museum explores the development of Hong Kong’s rich pop culture from the end of WWII to the early 2000s through more than 1,000 exhibits comprising music, film, TV and radio programs, comics and toys.
