HK's Sarah Lee delights home fans at PRURide Six Day Hong Kong

Hong Kong’s cycling star Sarah Lee had the crowd on its feet as she clinched the women’s overall sprinters’ title at the first ever PRURide Six Day Hong Kong Series held at the Hong Kong Velodrome (March 8-10).  The freshly crowned double world champion, competing for the first time since winning keirin and sprint titles at the UCI Track Cycling World Championship earlier this month, showed her class again, out-pedalling Miriam Welte of Germany and Urszula Los of Poland to take the title.  Well done, Sarah!

Six-day cycling is a traditional form of track cycling first raced in 1878. The PRURide Six Day Series adds a modern-day twist by combining competitive cycling with lively music and entertainment to create a unique atmosphere. The Hong Kong event was the fifth race – and the first in Asia – in the new seven-stop 2018/19 series.
