Hong Kong Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development Visits San Francisco and Los Angeles
Hong Kong Secretary for Commerce and Economic Development, Mr. Gregory So, arrived in San Francisco on June 12 for the second leg of his visit to the United States, after joining the Chief Executive’s visit program in New York.

Upon arrival, Mr. So called on the Mayor of the City and County of San Francisco, Mr. Edwin M Lee. They exchanged views on bilateral relations between Hong Kong and San Francisco.

Award Winning Movie, Cold War, has its North American Premiere in San Francisco
Cold War, a Hong Kong movie that garnered nine Hong Kong Film Awards this year, was screened at the 56th San Francisco International Film Festival on April 29. It was one of the two Hong Kong movies featured in this year’s festival.

Founded in 1957, the San Francisco International Film Festival is the longest-running film festival in the Americas. More than 150 films were featured in the two-week festival. Award Winning Movie, Cold War, has its North American Premiere in San Francisco

Rubber Duck in Hong Kong
The giant rubber duck, created by Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, has been travelling around the world since 2007. During its latest stop in Asia, the people in Hong Kong were able to take a closer look at it from May 2 to June 9. Inaugural Berthing of Mariner of the Seas at Kai Tak Cruise Terminal
The Kai Tak Cruise Terminal in Hong Kong received Royal Caribbean International’s cruise liner Mariner of the Seas on June 12, marking the maiden call to Hong Kong by the cruise ship. The Hong Kong Tourism Board organized a ceremony featuring lion and dragon dances, and drum performances to welcome more than 3,000 passengers on board.
