Hush Home designs and tests its products in San Francisco, and the company's mission is to offer mattresses, pillows and bedding sold at affordable prices to hotels and individual customers through its online platform. The company also promotes its products through partners such as a new hotel in Osaka which welcomes over 700 guests daily, many from Hong Kong. Hush Home was able to discover that Hong Kong travellers generally prefer firmer mattresses and supportive memory foam pillows, and the company has been able to tailor its products to suit this need.
Founder and Head of Operations Mr Rick Chen said, "Hong Kong is one of the busiest shipping ports in the world as well as a free port. We are attracted by its prime location, while Hong Kong's duty and VAT free advantage and our ability to manage bulk shipments will help save our customers money."

He added, "We plan to develop the Hong Kong market this year, then extend our product offering to other Asian markets. We will also use Hong Kong as a base for our regional operations, sales and marketing."

Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion Dr Jimmy Chiang said, "Hong Kong's superb location and its Asian hub status make it an ideal gateway for companies to access Mainland China and other emerging markets in the region. Together with its superior information and communications technology infrastructure and well-established logistics networks, the city is the best place for Hush Home to develop its e-commerce operations." |
