The award-winning photographer has been capturing landscape photos around the world for the past six years, yet Hong Kong holds a special place in Kelvin’s heart.  After all, it was during a climb up the Lion Rock, a famous landmark in Hong Kong, that he first fell in love with nature.

In welcoming the audience at the webinar, the Director of the HKETO, Jacko Tsang said that many would think Hong Kong was just an urban city.  “Kelvin can attest to you that Hong Kong is actually a great place for nature lovers. The small city has about 150 hectare of land encompassing nature trails, woodlands, gardens and wildlife sanctuaries.

“What makes Hong Kong unique is that these great outdoors are easily accessible through the city’s efficient public transportation network.  You can get off work in the central business district, start a hike within half an hour and still make it to a late dinner in a lovely restaurant before 9pm,” she said.

Kelvin Yuen could not agree more.  Since he decided to be a landscape photographer, he has discovered many hidden gems in Hong Kong.  At the webinar, he shared some of those cherished sceneries in Hong Kong as well as many of his amazing works taken from around the world.

The webinar was moderated by former White House photographer and editor, Grant Miller, who is based in Dallas, Texas.  They shared their stories and behind-the-scene experiences in getting the perfect shots.  The conversation between these two accomplished photographers were both interesting and inspiring.  Both said that the one thing that they loved about photography was that it allowed them to have the opportunity to capture a moment in time that would never happen again.
