Hong Kong Financial Secretary Unveils 2015-16 Budget
In his 2015-16 Budget, Hong Kong Financial Secretary, John C. Tsang, announced on February 25 a number of relief measures and initiatives designed to reinforce Hong Kong's economic development, and outlined the government's long-term financial planning strategy.

Hong Kong's economy grew by 2.3 percent in 2014 and is forecast to grow by 1 to 3 percent in 2015, according to the Financial Secretary.
Reviewing the economic performance last year, Mr. Tsang said global economic performance was less than spectacular. While the Mainland of China's economy maintained steady growth and there were signs of recovery in the U.S., Hong Kong's trade performance was beset by a weakening Eurozone economy and the recession in Japan.
