Hong Kong is the ‘perfect choice’ for business or leisure travel and is determined to constantly improve its appeal and product for visitors from around the world, says the Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr. Donald Tsang.
Mr. Tsang made the comments while officiating at the “Hong Kong – The Perfect Choice!” special event organized by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco and Hong Kong Tourism Board on June 13 at the historic Ferry Building in downtown San Francisco.

Hong Kong Secretary for Financial Services and the Treasury, Professor K. C. Chan, encouraged U.S. companies to look to Hong Kong as the preferred listing venue.
In a keynote address at the Hong Kong Financial Summit, co-hosted by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco and the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited, Professor Chan talked about Hong Kong’s many advantages as an international financial hub and a premier listing center.

The Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco is one of the sponsors of the 2008 Dressage Festival of Champions Olympic Selection Trials, presented by Collecting Gaits Farm/United States Equestrian Federation (USEF). The final trials for representing the United States of America at the 2008 Olympic Games were held on June 28 and 29.
Speaking at the finals held on June 29, Acting Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco, Miss Shirley Lau, said that Hong Kong is a proud co-host city of the Olympic and Paralympic Equestrian Events, which will be held from August 9-21, and September 7-11, 2008 respectively.
