US-based business jet manufacturer opens regional office

Dassault Falcon Jet Corp, a wholly-owned subsidiary of US-based Dassault Aviation, recently opened a new office in Hong Kong. The office will play a pivotal role in the company's regional strategy; enabling them to establish close relationships with customers across Asia's burgeoning aviation market.

From left to right: Mr. Benjamin Wong, Investor Relations Officer (Transportation), Invest Hong Kong and Mr. Jerome Desmazuers, Director of Sales, North Asia, Dassault Falcon Jet Corp. The Hong Kong office, which will act as its regional headquarters, cements Dassault's recent expansion in the Asia Pacific region and follows the opening of its Kuala Lumpur office and the appointment of Hawker Pacific as the sales agent in Australia and New Zealand.

"There's been a brisk market for business jets in Asia over the past couple of years particularly in Hong Kong and Malaysia. Mainland China is of particular interest. With its growing international importance and the rising demand for new aircraft, we are confident that we are in a strong position to not only take advantage of market growth but also to service our fleet of aircraft in the region," said Mr. John Rosanvallon, President and CEO of Dassault Falcon.

Mr. Jerome Desmazures, Director of Sales in North Asia will lead the sales and marketing effort in Hong Kong and Mainland China.

Associate Director-General of Investment Promotion at Invest Hong Kong, Mr. Mark Michelson, welcomed the company's decision to set up in Hong Kong, "We are delighted that Dassault Falcon Jet Corp has chosen to expand its business with the opening of an office in Hong Kong, reinforcing our role as a regional transportation and logistics hub. With Asia and Hong Kong – and regional aviation – enjoying robust economic growth, I would expect that the company's commitment to long-term development in Hong Kong will contribute to Dassault's overall competitiveness, as well as enriching our aviation industry."
