Hong Kong Booth Attracted Big Crowds at the San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival
For the ninth consecutive years, Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, San Francisco has been a sponsor of the San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival, the largest competitive dragon boat festival in the United States.
The two-day festival was held in the weekend of September 17 and 18 at the Treasure Island, San Francisco. A total of 125 dragon boat teams and 3,500 paddlers raced over 500 and 300 meters course with the San Francisco skyline as a backdrop. The recreational and competitive teams came from all over the United States and Canada.
In addition to the dragon boat races, the festival featured many cultural activities. Like the previous years, the Hong Kong Booth attracted big crowds who came for information about Hong Kong as well as winning special Hong Kong souvenirs.
