20th Anniversary Celebration

On September 18th, 2006, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco celebrated its 20 th Anniversary. Leaded by Ms Doris Cheung, Director of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, San Francisco , the celebration received outstanding congratulations ranging from local and Silicon Valley businesses, the Mayor of the City of San Francisco - Mr. Gavin Newsom, to the Chief Executive of Hong Kong Special Administrative Region - Mr. Donald Tsang.

We begin the celebration with organizing a 20th Anniversary Logo Design Competition in the summer. On September 18 th , the Secretary for Justice of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Mr. Wong Yan Lung, SC, kicked start the event by an address at a luncheon organized by the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco and the Hong Kong Association of Northern California. In the evening, a welcoming cocktail reception hosted at the 130 Montgomery Street office for friends, corporate representatives, and other government officials. To continue on September 21st, 2006, the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in San Francisco held a large-scale technology business seminar featuring government and business leaders from Hong Kong and Silicon Valley .
